The courses, being practical oriented, Industrial Training form an integral part of the courses. The main motto of UIHMT (Autonomous), is to impart professional and practical oriented hotel management course designed to fulfil the primary objective of a student to prove his worthiness and avail a good job ultimately. Encouraging with proper guidance to unemployed youths, students from backward communities and specially female students from rural and sub-urban areas. Enhance and increase the employment opportunities for the students to build up a professional career in the field of Hotel Management.
Course Offered : Presently UIHMT (Autonomous) offers the course - �DIPLOMA IN HOTEL MANAGEMENT� (DHM). Duration � One and half year (1 � years) (1 year � Theory & Practical & Six (06) months Industrial Training) Eligibility : Passed HSC/ICSE/CBSE or above (Any stream). A sound knowledge is English is essentially required. Also must be able to read, speak & write in English.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY
Details Classroom Sessions by Regular Lectures:
UIHMT (Autonomous) begins with regular classroom session everyday. Lectures are delivered by our experienced team of faculties. Visiting faculties from other hotel management colleges/institutes and hotel industry are always invited to brief and groom�up our students.
Students are given various assignments and projects on a regular basis under the guidance of our faculties to enhance their subject knowledge.
�Knowledge Workshop� related with hotel industry and it�s management is about to begin for our students in near future.
Various case studies highlighting on practical and situational issues are discussed on regular basis in the classroom sessions. This case studies programmes helps our students to streamline their thoughts and it also improves the ability of our students at UIHMT (Autonomous).

Ideal practical training programmes are provided to our students at UIHMT (Autonomous) with an opportunity to perform on in-house activities right from the start to the finish, by which they goin excellent hands-on experience and skills
FACILITIES FOR STUDENTS
Students of UIHMT (Autonomous) will have all co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like � Food Festivals, Celebration of Pujas, Annual Picnic, Study Tours, Hotel Visit, Yoga Day, Trade & Employment Fair Visit, World Tourism Day Celebration etc. around the year to get and feel the experience on these occasions.
Readymade study materials will be provided as necessary for every subjects.
